Deep Root Community Practice & Garden Day

Meditation • Qigong • Gardening • Community Stewardship

Join Deep Root Center for a free community gathering on the third Saturday of each month at our Oakland land site. These gatherings bring together meditation, Qigong, gardening, plant education, and community stewardship as part of Deep Root Center’s ongoing mission to support wellness, awareness, education, and connection.

No previous experience is required. Open to the public.

What We’ll Do

Each Community Practice & Garden Day may include beginner-friendly meditation, Qigong and mindful movement, gardening and land stewardship, plant and herbal education, community cleanup and cultivation, and time to connect, learn, and practice together.

Activities will vary depending on the season and the needs of the land.

Why We Gather

Deep Root Center for Spiritual Studies is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching community through spiritual, martial, cultural, educational, and wellness practices.

Our community land is being cultivated as a place for practice, education, stewardship, and connection. These gatherings are part of our continuing work to care for the land while creating opportunities for the public to experience meditation, Qigong, plant knowledge, and community wellness.
