The Tree Already Growing
🌱 The Seed
Have you ever been doing something intuitively or felt led to do something or a series of things that you later realized was an actual path for you to follow, or that you yourself blazed a trail for others?

The Hero's Journey

I think of the stages of the hero's journey:
❓the question,
🔎 the search,
📢 the answer,
🧨 the challenge,
❤️🔥 the self-doubt,
🏆 the triumph.
The Hero's Journey is so foundational to the human experience that we will watch or read it over and over in every story we make.
Most times in stories, the hero of a story is unaware of the stage on the path on which they sit.
Imagine the hero awakening to their place in their journey. How would their relationship with the journey change?
The Question.

That is the seed that brought you here. It is why you are reading this article right now. You knew there was something more that you needed, even if you could not name it or knew exactly what it was.
The Search

Everything that you collect along the way to nurture that seed inside of you to find the answer to what you are seeking.
The Answer

This is not the end of the journey; this is just the beginning of the quest. You know what you need to do, but the next set is where you actually do it.
The Challenge

This is the point in the journey where knowing becomes doing, and the hero is met with a challenge that may seem beyond their current level, and they are called to rise beyond their own self-image.
Self Doubt

Every hero hits the point where the weight of the journey feels too heavy. This heaviness requires the power to overcome and transform.
The Triumph

The hero's recognition that the tree was already there, mapped out in the seed's DNA all along, and the hero claims the fruit of the work. Even though the map was drawn long before conscious awareness, the hero would and could not arrive without the work of growing, breaking through the soil, navigating obstacles, and becoming their potential.4
